Work included demolition and replacement of the superstructure, portions of substructure, sidewalk, and barriers. TEC provided construction engineering services as a sub consultant including preparation of demolition and erection procedures, plan production, and field investigations. |

Fore River Bridge DemolitionQuincy, MATEC performed construction engineering services associated with the $1 million demolition of the existing 8 approach spans and the double-leaf bascule draw bridge. TEC evaluated the structure's capacity to support various crane sizes, lifting configurations, and cutting sections, incorporating accessibility, crane availability and cost, and labor costs to develop with the Contractor a cost-effective method of dismantling the bascule and approach trusses. |
