TEC's transportation engineers specialize in traffic impact studies for any site, signal design and roadway design.

RMD (Market Basket) Oakdale PlazaTewksbury, MATEC provided its client with the required updated traffic study, analyzing changes in the development program. TEC coordinated with MassHighway for the donation of right-of-way to allow improvements along Route 38 for a separate publicly-funded project. |

Raytheon SignalAndover, MATEC was retained by Raytheon Company to design and manage the construction of a new traffic signal at the multi-lane entrance of the Raytheon location on Route 133 in Andover. After completing the design, TEC managed all aspects of the turn-key system from permitting to installation. The close relationship with the Kodiak Corporation, who completed the installation, allowed tight deadlines to be met to alleviate traffic congestion at the intersection within 3 weeks of the start of construction. |

Cotton Mill Square RedevelopmentNashua, NHTEC conducted a full traffic impact and access study for the redevelopment of an existing site in Nashua containing historic mill buildings into a three building, 162 unit residential condominium development. TEC's study included analyzing the current and projected future traffic patterns of 10 intersections adjacent to the project site. The study considered the high volume corridors of Main St. and Amherst St., as well as the possible construction of the Broad Street Parkway. The mitigation was approved based on TEC's fair-share cost allocation for off-site improvements. |

Route 110 Roadway ImprovementsWestford, MATEC has recently been contracted to provide engineering design services for the reconstruction of 4,500 ft of Route 110 in Westford. Civil engineering services include roadway widening, drainage system improvements, utility system adjustments, and traffic signal design. The two lane state roadway will be expanded to four lanes to accommodate for increasing traffic volumes associated with the construction of Westford Technology Park West. |
